Erik Aaboe

Erik Aaboe has worked at the New Mexico Renewable Energy Transmission Authority (RETA) since 2021 and currently serves as RETA’s Deputy Director. He previously held several senior positions in infrastructure development, energy efficiency, financial management and leadership for state and local government in New Mexico, including the Environment Department, General Services Department and Santa Fe County.

Aaboe earned a master’s degree in geographic information systems from the University of New Mexico and a bachelor’s degree in geology/earth and environmental science from Yale University.
